Painted is a distinctive manicure and pedicure salon, founded by Nicole Doube-May and located in the vibrant streets of inner Sydney (Darlinghurst). We take a modern approach to nails, combining traditional techniques with contemporary luxury across our e-file manicures, e-file pedicures, and bespoke nail art services.

With a strong focus on nail health and hygiene, we prioritise education and the use of innovative, forward-thinking techniques—including soak-free pedicures—to deliver exceptional results. Our skilled nail technicians work with high-quality, non-toxic products such as The Gel Bottle and Dazzle Dry fast-drying natural nail polish, ensuring every service reflects the highest standard of care and finish.

Join the team at Painted

We are looking for nail technicians to join our small team at our salon in Darlinghurst.

We are currently seeking an experienced Nail Artists to help us deliver exceptional customer service and create beautiful, healthy nails.

You need to know how to perfectly shape and prep a nail for a long-lasting manicure (and pedicure), be confident in gel polish application and basic nail art designs plus be handy with an e-file, BIAB application & nail art.

Be a clear and confident communicator - we like to build relationships with our clients and educate them on our processes and their nail health.

Qualified and/or have undertaken previous training

Minimum 1+ years experience

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance throughout their in-studio experience.

  • Display a strong product knowledge and guide customers in making the right service choice and providing after-care advice.

  • Collaborate with the team on maintaining a clean, hygienic salon environment.

  • Process sales transactions and bookings, utilising our POS system.

  • Proactively engage with customers to build lasting relationships and foster loyalty.

  • Stay up to date with product information, promotions, and any changes to in-store policies.

  • Collaborate with the team to achieve targets and salon goals, contributing to the overall success of the salon.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

  • You need to know how to perfectly shape and prep a nail for a long lasting manicure (and pedicure)

  • Confident in gel polish application, builder gel application and basic nail art designs

  • Experience working with an e-File

  • An added plus if you are experienced in Nail Extensions and Detailed Nail art.

  • Be a clear and confident communicator - we like to build relationships with our clients and educate them on our processes and their nail health.

  • Must have previous salon/home salon experience and 1+ years experience in nails.

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
